The name of the newest hypersonic medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik" was invented by "specially trained people," said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov.
Journalists asked the Deputy Prime Minister who came up with the name of the missile. In response, Manturov smiled and succinctly replied that it was done by "specially trained people."
Then the journalist asked if there were many such "specially trained people," to which the Deputy Prime Minister replied in the negative.
There is no complete data on "Oreshnik" yet, because this weapon is completely new. But approximate characteristics have appeared on the Web: a minimum firing range of 300 km, a maximum range of 2000 to 6000 km. It can be in both nuclear and conventional equipment.
In the first case, the missile has a multiple warhead, that is, it can carry several warheads in the equivalent of several hundred to several thousand kilotons.
