During the plenary session of the VTB forum "Russia Calling!", Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the achievements of the Chinese automotive industry, noting that the products of Chinese automakers have become superior to European counterparts in both quality and price. The head of state emphasized that the growing presence of Chinese companies in the Russian market is due not only to the departure of European brands, but also to the objective advantages of Chinese cars.
Putin also criticized the actions of European countries and other markets aimed at limiting the expansion of the Chinese automotive industry, calling such measures "incorrect and harmful to the global automotive market." He congratulated Chinese companies on their outstanding success in the automotive industry.
Earlier, the Russian president had already commented on US sanctions against Chinese automakers, supporting the view of significant progress of Chinese cars in technological and production terms.
