The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has denied rumors that dealers have allegedly stopped accepting orders for the UAZ «Hunter». The company stated that the UAZ «Hunter» is still available for purchase, and the shipment of cars ordered now will be carried out in February 2025.
In November, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant sold 2,665 cars on the Russian market. The «Bukhanka» became the sales leader, with a result of 1,020 units, while the UAZ «Hunter» took a modest place with only 13 cars sold.
UAZ models, in particular the UAZ-469, were often called «Bobiks» — as they were known in the army and law enforcement agencies, and this term was sometimes also used in relation to other SUVs of this brand, including the GAZ-67B.
