The Russian Ministry of Defense, in a video from exercises of the Navy and Aerospace Forces in the Mediterranean Sea, showed the appearance of the hypersonic missile "Zircon" for the first time. Previously, the department had already shown footage of the launch of "Zircon", but now the missile was shown clearly and from several angles.
In the video, you can see the appearance of the missile and notice that the nose is covered with a cylindrical casing. It probably shoots off during takeoff, but its exact purpose is unknown.
You can also see the booster block in the tail section of the "Zircon", but it turned out blurry in the freeze frames.
"Zircon" during testing confirmed its ability to accelerate to 10 Mach and hit targets at a distance of over 1000 km.
