The "VK Video" platform has summarized the first results of the new monetization program for video content creators. In two months, authors' incomes have increased by an average of 2.5 times.
The number of authors who can publish materials on the platform has reached 81 thousand. Program participants are actively adding more content, and in two months the average daily increase in uploads was 20%. The total video viewing time increased by 26%.
In October, under the new program, one of the bloggers was paid a record amount — more than a million rubles. Incomes have grown particularly noticeably for authors working in areas such as family content, creativity, cars and cooking.
The new monetization program uses the Revenue Share model, according to which creators of original content receive from 50 to 80% of the platform's income from advertising impressions in their videos.
As a reminder, the program is designed for those who have more than 5 thousand subscribers. It applies to videos longer than two minutes that do not violate copyright.
Earlier www1.ru reported that VK will for the first time present a grant program for bloggers creating long videos. The total amount of funding will be 100 million rubles. Bloggers registered as individual entrepreneurs, as well as communities with at least a thousand subscribers, will be able to receive grants.
