Testing of the Meteor-3M space complex, consisting of three Meteor-M satellites designed to collect weather data, has been completed. This was reported by Roscosmos.
The state commission recommended that the state customer put into operation the Meteor-3M space complex with the Meteor-M spacecraft No. 2-4, manufactured by VNIIEM Corporation.
Meteor-3M is a complex designed to monitor the state of the Earth and its atmosphere. Its task is to conduct observations that will help in meteorological, hydrological, agrometeorological and climate research. The system also helps to monitor the environmental situation and identify emergency situations caused by natural or man-made factors.
In addition, the space complex is designed to conduct scientific research in the field of helio-geophysics and analyze the state of the atmosphere on a planetary scale. It can be used in rescue operations.
Earlier, the Russian Kondor-FKA satellite No. 2 was successfully launched into Earth orbit. Roscosmos reported that its night launch from the Vostochny Cosmodrome was completed without problems.
Soon, the Roscosmos State Corporation will be able to collect information about all spacecraft that were launched by Russian companies both in Russia and abroad.
