The crew of the 96K6 Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system demonstrated the ability to intercept a low-observable enemy aircraft-type UAV with a low RCS, which was located in the angular sector +55 - 70 degrees relative to the combat vehicle.
Evgeny Damantsev clarified that, based on the recorded time interval of 5 seconds between the launch of the 57E6 interceptor missile and the destruction of the drone by the 2nd combat stage, as well as the known flight speed of 1300 m/s, it can be determined that the target was hit at an altitude of 4700 m and a distance of about 5300 m.
Similarly, based on targeting data from external 96L6 air defense radar systems or RLM SOC detection radars, Pantsir-S1 crews can intercept ATACMS Block IA tactical ballistic missiles in the terminal sections of their trajectories, diving on the protected object at speeds of 900 - 750 m/s.
