Как ЗРПК «Панцирь-С1» справляется с ракетами AGM-88E и AGM-154E на истребителях F-16: эксперт объяснил

Will Detect at a Distance of Up to 14 km

Calculations of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems are adapted to counter types of high-precision weapons being prepared for integration into the ammunition of the F-16AM Block 20 and F-16C Block 40/52+.

We are talking about longer-range multi-purpose AGM-88E AARGM missiles with a range of up to 150 km and active-passive radar homing heads WGU-48/B, capable of capturing not only the emitting radar detection and illumination of air defense systems, but also radio-contrast ground objects.

AGM-88E missiles can be used by the crews of the F-16AM/C of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in combination with ATACMS Block IA missiles, which will require the Russian Aerospace Forces to multiply the number of not only Pantsir-S1 air defense missile systems, but also S-350 Vityaz and Buk-M3 air defense systems.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev explained that AGM-88E missiles have speeds of up to 1.5-1.7M in the terminal sections of trajectories and an effective reflecting surface of 0.1 sq. m.

Consequently, as in the case of the AGM-88B, the 1RS2 Shlem guidance radar and 10ES1 multispectral optoelectronic modules of the Pantsir-S1 complexes will be able to detect them at a distance of up to 14 km and tie tracks at a distance of about 12 km, simultaneously intercepting up to 3 missiles in difficult weather conditions and 4 missiles in favorable weather conditions.
