AvtoVAZ no longer has Japanese automatic transmissions for Lada Granta. On the official website lada.ru in the price lists of sedans and liftbacks, the note "not produced" appeared next to the option with two pedals. This means that currently only Lada Granta with a domestic 5-speed manual transmission is available on the assembly line.
The cessation of production of cars with the Japanese Jatco automatic transmission was expected, since the plant had about five thousand of these gearboxes that fell under sanctions. Although you can still find Lada Granta with an automatic transmission on the market, such cars will no longer appear in the near future.
In April, Lada Granta with a Jatco gearbox appeared on the market. At first, demand for such models exceeded supply, but now the situation has leveled off. The reason is that in the fall, Lada Vesta appeared on sale in basic versions with a 1.6 engine and a Chinese-made variator. The cost of such a sedan starts from 1,575,000 rubles.
As a reminder, AvtoVAZ continues to raise prices for its cars. This time, the changes affected the sports versions of Lada Granta — Sport and Sportline. It is now impossible to purchase 2023 models, and prices for 2024 models have become higher.
Earlier www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ plans to make significant changes to its production process. One of them will be the transfer of production of Lada Granta sedans to the line where Lada Niva cars were previously assembled.
