Active testing of deck-based FPV interceptor drones has begun in the Russian Navy. They are equipped with two PG-7VM shaped-charge warheads with armor penetration of 300 mm for steel armor plates, 700 mm for reinforced concrete slabs, and 1800 mm for pillboxes.
The drones will be used as part of deck-based interception squadrons designed to intercept low-signature Magura V5 surface strike drones.
Thermal imaging sensors and television CMOS sensors, which detect the optical silhouettes of unmanned boats, as well as minimal thermal contrasts of some elements of the BEC hulls, allow for the highly effective disabling of enemy surface attack assets from the first attempt.
It should be remembered that the enemy may equip BECs with individual electronic warfare (EW) protection systems. Therefore, the command and telemetry channel modules must be multi-band.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Aeroflot will be the first in Russia to take aircraft on a "wet" lease.
