Rosaviatsiya reported that the number of aviation accidents in Russia increased in 2024.
If we take the dry numbers into account, the number of aviation accidents in 2024 has increased in both commercial aviation and general aviation compared to last year. The largest number of aviation accidents occurred during helicopter flights. Despite this, Russia is in the global trend of flight safety, there are no dangerous trends in this area.
At the same time, Rosaviatsiya notes that"there is no question of complacency on the part of the state."
A lot of daily work is being done to improve flight safety. Flight safety is our key priority.
The agency has not yet announced the exact figures for 2024. However, it is known that in 2023, from January to November, Rosaviatsiya registered 670 aviation incidents on Russian territory. Of these, 400 cases were due to the failure of aviation equipment and engines.
