The first Russian sports-touring ATV, the RM 800 T, arrived at the Moscow exhibition of travel and equipment for outdoor activities, "Let's Go-2024," at Expocentre.
This is currently the only Russian-developed ATV in the class for participation in the Silk Way world rally raids. The developers — Russian Mechanics — characterize it as "enduro in the world of ATVs": like motorcycles of this class, it has high cross-country ability and speed, while providing a comfortable ride.
Visitors to the exhibition were shown not only the RM 800 T in full dress, but also its "skeleton." All its features are evident. The ATV has a soft suspension, a ground clearance of 320 mm, and a turning radius of only 3 m.
Among the distinguishing features is a light and durable frame assembled in 2024 based on the experience of rally participants from the Russian Mechanics team. Robotic welding was used in its creation, and a digital twin was used in testing the structure.
You can see Spectrum gas-oil emulsion-type shock absorbers, an electronic control unit, and modified brakes. The ATV's power steering has adaptive settings for high and low speeds.
Under the hood of the ATV is a 60 hp engine that allows it to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h. The engine is V-shaped, injector, with a volume of 800 cm3 with a new control unit.
The RM 800 T ATV also has an unusual shape of LED headlights with horizontal and vertical "pupils" for low and high beams. They provide a powerful luminous flux and the ability to drive not only during the day, but also at dusk and at night.
