Russian Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicles can now generate extraneous signals to counter air defense systems. This involves certain noises on many frequencies that interfere with shooting down drones.
This signal interfered with coordinating the actions of mobile air defense groups with small arms, jamming some communication channels, and disappeared as soon as the drones flew from one area to another or hit the target.
Drones easily passed through all cordons, flying "much faster than before," and mobile groups on the ground were increasingly silent.
