Цены на бытовую технику в России растут: Kuppersberg и Vard увеличат стоимость продукции на фоне роста ключевой ставки

Major household appliance manufacturers have announced an increase in product costs due to economic factors

Russian household appliance manufacturers have announced price increases for their products. Among the companies that have announced the upcoming increase in cost are Kuppersberg and Vard (formerly Electrolux in Russia). The main reasons for the price increase are the increase in the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the growth of exchange rates, and the increase in logistics costs.

Dmitry Shashkin, CEO of Kuppersberg, stated that the company will raise prices by 10% from December 2. According to him, the manufacturer has been trying to restrain the increase in cost for the past two months, but the current economic situation no longer allows this. Vard brand has a similar position. As its CEO, Alexey Belyakov, noted, the price increase will occur in two stages: in December and January. Although the exact figures for the price increase have not been named, Belyakov emphasized that they will inevitably affect the final cost for consumers.

In addition, the production of Russian household appliances in China has become more expensive, which also affects the price of products. Problems with lending and settlements lead to a shortage of certain brands, and in some cases to a decrease in output.

According to analysts, in the first nine months of this year, 3 million washing machines, 2.7 million refrigerators, and 850 thousand dishwashers were sold in Russia. Average prices for these categories of equipment have already increased by 4–6% compared to the same period last year.

If the economic situation does not change, some manufacturers may reduce production volumes or leave the market altogether in the spring of 2025. In the context of rising exchange rates and key rates, experts predict that prices for new products that will go on sale next year will be higher than current ones.
