Russian specialists have developed a new aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle "Shturm-ST" made of pressed foam covered with fiberglass. The device can be used as a kamikaze strike drone and for reconnaissance, according to the developer, Dominanta LLC.
The "Shturm-ST" can stay in the air for at least an hour on installed batteries. The aircraft is capable of carrying up to 5 kg, and it is built from pressed foam covered with fiberglass. The "Shturm-ST" has already passed the necessary tests and has performed well.
One of the advantages of the new device is its low cost — up to 200 thousand rubles. Due to the materials used, even in single units, the price is low when it comes to destroying a target like a Bradley tank.
Also, during testing, the device showed resistance to electronic warfare equipment. The UAV is planned to be used on non-standard frequencies, which are currently used by the "Shturm" line of FPV drones.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian "Iskander" for the first time destroyed the "Grom" OTRK on the front, footage of a precise hit appeared.
