An operator of a strike FPV drone with a thermal imaging sensor of the Russian Armed Forces successfully struck a scarce American tactical missile system L3 Harris Vampire with APKWS-II multipurpose guided tactical missiles with semi-active laser homing heads.
Judging by the presented footage, the strike was carried out either by the Lancet-3 drone or its analogue.
The effective range of the APKWS-II is about 11,500 m with an average trajectory speed of about 850 m/s. Target tracking and laser beam guidance are carried out by means of a turret multispectral optoelectronic complex.
