Platform for Neurophysical Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Created in Samara

The development has no analogues in Russia

The first active dynamic platform for neurophysical diagnostics and rehabilitation in the country has been developed at the Samara State Medical University (SamSMU) of the Ministry of Health of Russia. It allows doctors to set and change the parameters of movement during the rehabilitation of a patient. This was reported by the press service of the university.

The development is aimed at identifying disorders of balance function, restoring motor activity, coordination and balance of patients. It is expected that the system will also find application in orthopedics, traumatology, sports medicine and otorhinolaryngology.

The platform is equipped with special sensors. When a person stands on it, the devices capture his movements.

When the patient, at the direction of the doctor, shifts the center of gravity of his body, the signals from the sensors are processed and transmitted to the monitor in the form of graphs and tables. Protocols are generated in the form of reports, and are also used to control the game process using biological feedback.

The introduction of the new platform will provide new tools for more accurate diagnostics and effective rehabilitation. The development has no analogues in Russia.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec exceeded the plan for the production of devices for the treatment and diagnosis of eye diseases by 120%.
