Создан российский робот-манипулятор для лабораторных работ по химии и физике

The robot will help conduct research in the laboratory remotely, even if the experimenter is in another locality

A remote-controlled robot manipulator has been created at NSTU NETI for Russian schools. According to the university's press service, it will help conduct laboratory work in chemistry and physics. The robot has four degrees of freedom, which provides both mobility for performing basic operations for moving and capturing objects, and smoothness of movements.

The idea arose to create a robot manipulator that could be used as an auxiliary tool when conducting laboratory work. We have developed a prototype device with which you can work with solid powder materials and with liquid substances in test tubes. The manipulator can be controlled using a mobile application.

Student developers hope that their robot will be of interest to schoolchildren interested in robotics: it will help them learn about the principles of operation of manipulators and practice controlling this type of robot.

The robot manipulator will also help solve the problem of remote control of experimental equipment inside a laboratory or work area. With its help, research and experiments can be carried out in real time, while being in another locality or "in the field".
