In Russia, a .308 caliber "Titan" semi-automatic rifle has been developed for special forces units. It has high accuracy, is much lighter than its counterparts, and is already being successfully used on the front lines, according to the manufacturer SWC.
Depending on the task, the rifle can be used as an assault or sniper weapon. Experts note that the new rifle turned out to be versatile with good characteristics, so the weapon will really be in demand by special forces soldiers or reconnaissance units.
According to a representative of the manufacturing company, the military notes the accuracy and precision of shooting, as well as the reliability of the design.
Accuracy is 0.3 angular minutes. This means that at a distance of 100 m, it will hit a circle with a diameter of less than a centimeter. The .308 caliber cartridge is reliable and powerful, and in Russia it is produced in various versions, even armor-piercing. Therefore, the rifle is popular with the Russian military.
