The power of the newest self-propelled artillery gun SAO "Malva" is fully revealed in the "simultaneous fire raid" mode. In this case, several shells hit the target simultaneously, noted Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Rostec State Corporation's weapons complex.
According to him, "Malva" is capable of effectively hitting almost any targets that can in principle be eliminated with high-precision or high-explosive fragmentation shells.
The power of the howitzer is felt to the fullest when firing in the "simultaneous fire raid" mode, when several shells fired along different trajectories and at different speeds hit the target simultaneously.
Ozdoev added that "Malva" has successfully confirmed the laid down characteristics, including in terms of technical resource and maneuverability. Thanks to the wheeled chassis, the vehicle can quickly deploy to a position and leave it, avoiding return fire.
This is important in counter-battery combat. Towed guns do not have such deployment speed. "Malva" is also more maneuverable than artillery mounts on a tracked chassis. At the same time, it has a lower operating cost and a greater technical resource.
"Malva" is capable of traveling 1 thousand km without refueling on public roads, and thanks to a powerful diesel engine and all-wheel drive, the vehicle overcomes off-road conditions well. Also, "Malva" can be transported by military transport aircraft, the artillery unit fits into the cargo cabin of the Il-76.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian soldiers tested the Leopard-2A4. The German tank will still serve in battles.
