The Central Bank of Russia is ready to consider creating a unified application for digital ruble transactions. This was reported in the press service of the Central Bank.
We are always ready to consider proposals and initiatives from the market, including the possibility of developing such an application.
The question of creating a unified application arose against the background of concerns among medium and small banks about the high cost of developing infrastructure for digital ruble transactions. The implementation of the project will require from 85 to 150 million rubles for each bank. Since the digital national currency is planned to be introduced in a mandatory manner, small credit and financial institutions will face large expenses.
To solve the problem, the Association of Banks of Russia (ABR) proposed creating not only a unified application, but also certification authorities on the side of the Bank of Russia or a unified operator. This approach will allow credit and financial institutions to reduce costs for creating the necessary infrastructure.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that NSPKis completing work on a universal QR code for the FPS.
