The Rostec State Corporation has published a video of the helicopter evacuation of an elderly woman in the United States, which has gone viral on social networks, and pointed out the mistakes of American rescuers.
The victim is transported by securing the stretcher hanging from the helicopter on a rope. In the air, she was spun at a speed of about 200 revolutions per minute. At the same time, the woman's condition was not so critical - she broke her nose during a hike.
We see incorrect work of American colleagues. It is impossible to evacuate people in this way.
The NSSA added that the suspended equipment was not controlled on the ground. That is why the stretcher was twisted and it was almost impossible to stop this process. Experts explained that in this case it is necessary to use special equipment, and hold the cable.
Rostec also noted that medical aviation is mainly needed for emergency evacuation of seriously ill patients from remote locations. Then the probability of saving the patient increases, and the risk of complications decreases.
