Russia and Egypt plan to ratify intergovernmental agreements on the creation of a Russian industrial zone (RIZ) in the Suez Canal zone. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
We are waiting for the ratification of the agreement by Egypt. During the meeting in Kazan, the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said that this issue would be considered at the parliamentary session in the near future.
It is worth noting that the agreement between the countries included the creation of a special industrial zone for Russian resident enterprises in the east of Port Said and was concluded in 2018. The project was scheduled to begin in 2020, but the deadlines were shifted due to the pandemic.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in October, Russians spent 542 billion rubles on new cars.
