Sollers has unveiled ambitious plans for the coming year, which include the release of 13 new car models, including a minivan, SUV, pickups, and several buses. This move aims to strengthen the brand's position in the Russian market across various segments.
A key event will be the launch of the Sollers SP7 minivan, which will go on sale in September 2025. The minivan is equipped with a two-liter turbocharged engine producing 224 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The cabin is designed for seven people, and the car's length is 5200 mm. Standard equipment includes features such as two sunroofs, leather upholstery, a surround-view system, cruise control, driver assistance systems, and six airbags.
A similar power plant will be used in the full-size Sollers frame SUV, which will be released in 2025. In addition, the pickup line will be supplemented by the ST8 and ST9 models, scheduled for release in January and July 2025, respectively. These new products will continue the development of the series, which already includes the ST6 pickup. A hybrid platform is also being developed for pickups and SUVs in collaboration with a foreign partner.
In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, the Atlant line is expected to be updated. In the spring of 2025, Sollers will present a new SF van with an automatic transmission and a refined interior. Sales of the large Atlant XL minibus, based on a Chinese model similar to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, will begin in September. The release of an all-metal van is also planned.
In the bus segment, Sollers is actively expanding its lineup. Sales of the SA6 and SA9 models will begin in the first quarter of 2025. The planned releases include the SE9 city electric bus, 8.5 meters long, based on the Chinese Ankai model, as well as a school bus. City buses will be produced at the company's site in Yelabuga.
The company's CEO, Nikolai Sobolev, announced that the plant in Ulyanovsk has been transformed into a center of competence for the production of frame vehicles. The Zavolzhsky Motor Plant is increasing its capacity for the production of power units and automatic transmissions, which, among other things, will be installed on UAZ Patriot SUVs.
In 2024, Sollers sold about 15,000 cars, which is 6,000 more compared to the previous year. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adil Shirinov, emphasized the importance of localizing production and developing new models based on existing platforms to meet the needs of the Russian market.
