The Russian Aerospace Forces have a modern high-precision guided aerial munition, the "Grom-E2." This cruise missile is effective in engaging stationary ground and underwater targets.
The "Grom-E2" has a launch mass of 598 kg and the same diameter, wingspan, and body length as the "Grom-E1." At the same time, the "Grom-E2," due to the absence of an engine, has an increased warhead mass, totaling 480 kg.
The missile is mainly used to engage targets with known coordinates, such as stationary surface and ground targets like runways, reinforced concrete shelters, highway and railway bridges, military-industrial facilities, and warships.
Main characteristics of "Grom-E2":
- Munition mass — 598 kg
- Warhead mass — 315 + 165 kg
- Maximum launch range — 50 km
- Application modes at a speed of — 140-445 m/s
- Guidance system type — inertial + satellite
- Warhead type — two high-explosive fragmentation
