In Kaluga, on the basis of the PSMA Rus plant, the Automotive Technologies company plans to expand production and begin assembling cars from China. The governor of the region, Vladislav Shapsha, only said that this brand is very popular in Russia, but did not name the brand.
Now the company is not only expanding production, but also announcing the recruitment of new employees! This is a direct result of our complex but successful negotiations with partners in China, which lasted for a year.
He noted that in the near future, the production of new cars belonging to a Chinese brand popular in Russia will start in Kaluga. Shapsha promised to name more detailed information about the brand later.
The governor emphasized that the authorities are fulfilling all previously given promises: they not only help enterprises work at full capacity and preserve jobs, but also create new prospects.
Production lines and workshops will operate at full capacity, about a thousand more residents of Kaluga will get jobs, and tax revenues to the regional budget will increase.
As a reminder, at the end of 2023, the PSMA plant, which was a joint venture for the production of Peugeot, Citroen, Opel and Mitsubishi cars, resumed its work.
Earlier it became known that the Russian company "Sollers" plans to produce bodies and cabs of cars from domestic metal. The production of stamped parts is planned to be launched before the end of 2024. The first batch will be delivered to a partner company in November.
