Regular flights of logistics drones will begin in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO) in November. This was agreed upon by the governor of the region, Yuri Bezdudny, and the management of Empaero (which has a UAV operator certificate from Rosaviatsiya).
Empaero drones will deliver parcels, medicines, food, and conduct environmental monitoring. The program will cover remote settlements such as Indiga and Bugrino. It is expected that the operator will use UAVs of various carrying capacities.
In August 2024, flights of civilian drones with cargo on board started in the NAO. In September, UAVs delivered ballots for voting to the settlements of Telviska and Makarovo in the elections of deputies of the Council of the city district "City of Naryan-Mar", the Council of the municipal district "Zapolyarny District".
