В России заканчиваются иностранные автомобили, ввезенные до повышения утильсбора

Toyota RAV4, Kia Sportage, and BMW X5 Have Significantly Increased in Price, Demand Exceeds Supply

Russian dealers are almost out of stock of cars imported before the increase in the recycling fee, which is leading to an increase in prices for the remaining models. According to Kommersant, citing Autonews, this situation particularly affects cars of European, Korean, and Japanese production, the new deliveries of which have become economically unprofitable due to increased costs.

As a result, prices for a number of popular models have already risen noticeably: Toyota RAV4 is offered for 5 million rubles, Kia Sportage for 4.5 million rubles, and BMW X5 with a 3.0d engine costs about 17 million rubles. Stocks of these cars are limited, and the prospects for their further deliveries remain unclear.

Vladimir Popov, President of Favorit Motors, noted that the increase in import costs makes the supply of foreign cars unprofitable, especially for Korean, German, and Japanese brands, which exacerbates the shortage in the Russian market. According to him, the volume of supply is decreasing, and the import of such cars is becoming less and less profitable.

The average cost of a new car in Russia is expected to be about 3.9 million rubles by the end of the year, which reflects the overall increase in price against the background of a decrease in supply and an increase in import costs.
