Technology holding VK is in talks with ten automakers present on the Russian market about pre-installing its media services in car multimedia systems. This was reported by TASS, citing a source close to the company.
Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper wrote that VK is discussing the possibility of integrating its media services, including "VK Video", into the multimedia systems of foreign cars. The company hopes that by the end of next year, its services will be pre-installed in every tenth Chinese car sold through official dealers. According to the agency's source, VK is ready to cooperate with all automakers operating in the Russian market.
Currently, the leader in the segment of multimedia car systems is "Yandex", which offers both a full-fledged auto platform and separate applications for use in cars.
