In October 2024, 168.5 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 51% more than in October 2023, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Compared to the previous month, September 2024, sales increased by 15%.
In the period from January to October 2024, 1.3 million new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 58% more than in the same period last year.
For 10 months of 2024, sales of passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks, as well as buses, increased by 48% and reached 1.5 million units.
In October 2024, new cars were bought 47% more often compared to last year; in total, dealers sold 199.5 thousand units. Compared to September 2024, the growth was 18%.
Sales of Lada cars also increased significantly. From January to October, they increased by 33.3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 377.9 thousand cars.
Earlier www1.ru reported that over the past ten years, cars in Russia have risen in price by 3.1 times. Currently, the average price of a new car is 3.1 million rubles, while in 2014 it would have been equal to one million.
