The Russian online platform Wildberries has launched a "Virtual Photo Studio." This is a service based on generative neural networks, with which sellers will be able to create photos of their clothes on AI models. This was reported by the marketplace's press service.
The service functions for 133 categories of men's and women's clothing. Creating photos takes several minutes.
Sellers with a "Jam" subscription have access to up to 10 photo generations per month. They will be able to choose a mannequin from 20 avatars of different types and builds.
AI algorithms will select the pose of the mannequin and generate the background. Neural networks will also take into account the material from which the clothes are sewn to create realistic images.
Wildberries continues to attract new users. During the anniversary sale "Happy Birthday, WB," which ran from October 7 to 20, the website and mobile application were visited daily by 35 million people. This is 25% more than during "Black Friday" in 2023.
The marketplace's press service also reported that Rospatent has registered the transfer of rights to the Wildberries trademarks in favor of the United Company Wildberries and Russ (RWB LLC). This concerns 28 intellectual property objects, including the platform's logo.
