The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), in collaboration with Teleport LLC, has created and tested a device to improve the quality and speed of data transmission, the university's press service reported.
The development is a duplexer unit for a transceiver radio module of a 5G mobile communication system.
As a result of tests at Teleport LLC (Izhevsk) and in the MIPT pilot zone, the duplexer filters showed a blocking level in the cross-frequency ranges of more than 120 dB.
The development has proven its effectiveness. The created filters are the first step towards creating our own 5G network.
Our team is also developing active antenna devices based on phased array technology and other components for base stations. In the future, our developments will be used in various domestic equipment.
It is worth noting that the creation of 5G networks is scheduled for 2028.
