German engineers have introduced the most advanced modification of the Leopard-2A7-A1 battle tank. The vehicle will receive the Israeli Trophy active protection system, capable of countering a wide range of reactive anti-tank grenades, ATGMs, as well as high-explosive fragmentation shells, but it will not cope with a number of Russian weapons, military expert Yevgeny Damantsev noted.
He noted that the Trophy complex is characterized by the "childhood disease" of the domestic Arena-M complex, namely, the presence of a "dead funnel" in the upper hemisphere.
Therefore, this machine is absolutely not protected from modern strike FPV drones, "free-fall" copters, guided artillery shells ZOF95 "Krasnopol-M2", as well as Russian tactical missiles Kh-39M LMUR with a dive angle of more than 60 degrees.
