Russia plans to supply enriched uranium for the Barakah nuclear power plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu.
He noted that the supply of enriched uranium products is planned to fuel this nuclear power plant, adding that Russia is ready to expand such cooperation.
In addition, Shoigu mentioned Russia's and the UAE's intention to expand cooperation in the field of the nuclear fuel cycle.
The statement was made during Shoigu's visit to the UAE, where he arrived on October 28 for meetings with the country's leadership. During the negotiations, various aspects were discussed, including the implementation of the international transport corridor project "North – South", which includes the construction of a seamless transit railway on Iranian territory to ports in the Persian Gulf.
