The Ulyanovsk Region Investment Portal announced the restart of the enterprise. In early 2024, the Japanese-German holding DMG MORI, which had left Russia, transferred the plant to Rosimushchestvo, and it took more than six months to restart the plant.
Currently, the Ulyanovsk Machine Tool Plant has 16 turning and 23 milling processing centers, and components are being assembled for fifteen machines. The plant was visited by the region's leadership, who promised support in its activities.
The regional government will assist in finding component suppliers and building industrial cooperation. We are also working on localizing the production of key components for machine tool construction. Our region has strong machine tool building traditions. We are working to revive these competencies. The Ulyanovsk plant can become the center of a new regional machine tool cluster. Another major task is to establish the production of gantry machines in the Ulyanovsk region.
By the end of the year, the plant intends to produce 35 high-precision CNC machines from warehouse stocks and receipts under concluded and existing contracts. They will be sent to enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region. In 2025, it is planned to produce 250 machines for enterprises throughout Russia.
Currently, the plant employs 77 people, and it is planned to increase the number of employees to one hundred by the end of the year.
