Submarine of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" is making an inter-fleet transition

The "Ufa" submarine (project 636.3 "Varshavyanka"), carrier of high-precision "Caliber-PL" missiles, is making an inter-fleet transition from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Fleet along the Southern Sea Route. The submarine has appeared in the Arabian Sea, the fleet's press service reported.

The "Ufa", accompanied by the rescue tug "Alatau", made a business call at the Indian port of Cochin in the Arabian Sea. During the stop, the crew will replenish supplies of fuel, water and food.

About the submarine "Ufa"

The diesel-electric submarine was built at the "Admiralty Shipyards" (part of USC) in St. Petersburg. It joined the Russian Navy in November 2022. "Ufa" is the fourth in a series of six submarines of project 636.3, which are being built for the Pacific Fleet.

In March 2024, the submarine was on combat duty in the Mediterranean Sea. The Tartus base, a logistics point for the Russian fleet, is located in this region.
