This October, a decline in sales of new cars was recorded in Russia. This was reported by analysts at the "Autostat" agency.
From October 14 to 20 of this year, 37.8 thousand new cars were sold in Russia. In the first week of the month, 56 thousand cars were sold, while in the second week, sales decreased by 24%. The total figure was 42.6 thousand cars.
In the third week of October, a decrease in sales was recorded in all segments of the car market. Sales of passenger cars decreased by 12%, LCVs by 6%, trucks by 2%, and buses by 37%.
The trend of increasing sales was explained by the desire of Russians to buy a car before the increase in the recycling fee.
