Representatives of AvtoVAZ have announced that the top-of-the-line version of the LADA Aura will in the future receive rear seats from the Aurus car. This configuration will be favorably distinguished from the maximum Status version, which is currently considered the top-of-the-line.
In the Status, the rear row is a regular sofa upholstered in leather. The front seats and inserts in the door cards are also leather. The basic Premier version is even more modest in this regard — the interior trim is a combination of fabric and eco-leather. In the top version, the rear seats will not only be leather but also separate — captain's chairs.
Chief Engineer Dmitry Shalaev also said that engineers were able to "squeeze the maximum" and improve the comfort of passengers in the second row by changing the seat padding and reducing the thickness of the ceiling. But AvtoVAZ will not stop there, they will continue to improve the Aura. That is why the installation of captain's chairs is planned. When exactly – is not yet known.
We already have a project for the development of the model, and we are considering the possibility of installing seats with electric adjustments and other functions.
