Representatives of AvtoVAZ reported that the most top version of LADA Aura will in the future receive rear seats from the Aurus car. This configuration will differ for the better from the maximum version of Status, which is now considered the top one.
In Status, the rear row is a regular sofa upholstered in leather. The front seats and inserts in the door cards are also leather. The basic Premier version is even more modest in this regard — the interior trim is a combination of fabric and eco-leather. In the most top version, the rear seats will be not only leather, but also separate — captain's.
Chief Engineer Dmitry Shalaev also said that engineers were able to «squeeze the maximum» and improve the comfort of passengers in the second row by changing the seat padding and reducing the thickness of the ceiling. But the VAZ workers will not stop there, they will continue to improve Aura. That is why the installation of captain's chairs is planned. When exactly is still unknown.
We already have a project to develop the model, and we are considering the possibility of installing seats with electric adjustments and other functions.
