Automotive journalist Maxim Kadakov drew attention to data from the Japanese Ministry of Finance. Officials from the Land of the Rising Sun reported that in September of this year, 132.2% more used cars were sent to Russia than in the same period last year.
The total trade turnover between the countries in September increased by 22.7%. And exports of spare parts from Japan to Russia increased by 21.3%. At the same time, from April to September, the growth amounted to 7.9%.
More than half of Japan's exports to Russia are cars — 65%. Moscow is actively selling energy resources to Tokyo, which account for 70% of Russia's imports to that country.
Automotive journalist Maxim Kadakov emphasizes that the Japanese are exporting small-displacement used cars to us.
