The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Andrei Belousov, arrived on a working trip to the Kamchatka Territory. There, he inspected the base of the newest nuclear submarines built by USC enterprises. This was reported by the corporation's press service.
The commander of the Fleet's Submarine Forces, Vladimir Dmitriev, informed Belousov that the berthing front had been deeply modernized.
This made it possible to receive 7 nuclear submarines in the last few years, including five strategic missile cruisers of the "Borei" projects and two submarines of the Yasen project.
According to him, 14 more facilities are currently under construction. Thus, the berthing infrastructure continues to expand.
It is expected that the new facilities will provide Russian submarines with energy resources, communications, air and water. All work is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2025.
