An underground UAV laboratory is modifying VT-40 kamikaze drones for multiple uses. Previously, they were used for "one-way" flights.
Military personnel noted that engineers have devised and implemented a version for the multiple use of UAVs. This increases the efficiency of using this tool and reduces costs.
Currently, work is underway to improve and assemble a dropping device that will allow carrying a projectile. This is all done on the basis of the VT-40. This means of destruction was used as if in one direction.
The laboratory is also actively working with captured enemy UAVs. After studying the drones, specialists prepare them for repeated launches or use spare parts for new developments.
The manufacturers of the VT-40 drone are the non-profit project "Doomsday" and the company "Russian Unmanned Vehicle." The configuration of the FPV drone allows it to work at a distance of 7 to 10 km with various types of ammunition weighing 1.3–3 kg.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Product 305" has been modernized. Now the rocket flies a distance of more than 20 km.
