Air defense systems and electronic warfare equipment are working on the Lyutyi drone on the front line. Russia is able to withstand one of the most top-secret drone weapons, said military expert and Associate Professor of the Department of Political Analysis of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Alexander Perendzhiev.
According to him, it is most likely a low-visibility drone that can carry explosive devices in order to strike.
In short, it can act as a regular bomber and drop bombs on certain objects. But we can resist it. Our detection systems work on it, and electronic warfare and air defense systems work.
Perendzhiev stressed that the Russian military are learning to defend themselves as they could before. The main thing is to be able to intercept the "Lyutyi", study it and develop effective mechanisms for its destruction.
The Lyutyi strike drone is made according to the principle of a low-wing aircraft with a propeller in the wheeled chassis and tail section, which allows it to take off with a run-up, like an airplane. The body is made of fiberglass and reinforced with a metal mesh.
Characteristics of the Lyutyi UAV:
- Length - about 4 meters, wingspan - 6.7 m
- Engine power - 50 hp
- Drone weight - more than 200 kg
- Payload - 75 kg
- Flight range - up to 1000 km
Earlierwww1.ru reported that "Product 305"has been modernized. Now the missile flies a distance of more than 20 km.
