The operator Megafon announced the connection of home Internet in 18 regions of Russia. This step was a consequence of the expansion of partnership with Rostelecom within the FVNO model (Fixed Virtual Network Operator).
The new service will be available in the Far Eastern, Siberian and Volga Federal Districts. Customers will be able to use cellular communications, connect to home Internet and get access to popular online cinemas and TV. This will reduce the total cost of services.
It is worth noting that the first project under the FVNO model was implemented by Megafon in 2020 in Astrakhan. Currently, the home Internet service is available to subscribers in 54 regions of Russia.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Megafon accelerated the Internet at the stations of the new branch of the Moscow Metro.
