A delegation from Rosoboronexport will arrive in Peru next week to certify the Aviation Maintenance Center of the Peruvian Army. In addition, Russian specialists may oversee the repair of Mi-8 and Mi-171 helicopters of various modifications. This is reported by Defensa.
The overhaul of the helicopters is carried out by Milenium Veladi Corp. It is expected that after the upgrade, the Russian rotorcraft will be guaranteed to fly for at least 2,000 hours (about 8 years of operation).
Certification, according to the terms of the agreement signed by the Aviation Maintenance Center of the Peruvian Army and Rosoboronexport, will allow the center to maintain the line of Russian helicopters in the country.
As Defensa writes, the Aviation Maintenance Center of the Peruvian Army can also service other helicopter models, including civilian versions.
