The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has sent another batch of new Su-34 aircraft to the Russian army. The vehicles were manufactured as part of this year's production program, Rostec noted.
The fighters underwent a full range of ground and flight tests before being transferred to the troops.
Defense industry enterprises are maintaining the necessary production rate to fulfill the state defense order. Technologies are also being introduced at the factories, and processes are being improved to increase production output.
The Su-34 fighter-bomber, nicknamed "Duckling" due to the shape of its nose — is one of the most advanced aircraft in the Russian Aerospace Forces. The vehicle is designed to destroy sea and ground targets, as well as to perform tasks of suppressing enemy air defenses and reconnaissance.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec had delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 with "Nakidka" protection kits to the troops. The additional protection includes products for strengthening armor and lattice screens.
