As noted by Roscosmos, citing a NASA report, the undocking of the Crew Dragon spacecraft from the ISS with the Crew-8 mission, which includes Alexander Grebenkin, has been postponed to October 13. This is due to Hurricane "Milton": it has developed in the Crew-8 splashdown areas near the coast of Florida. NASA does not want to risk the lives of the four mission members.
Meanwhile, while waiting for undocking and return to Earth, Alexander Grebenkin captured what "Milton," which is raging off the American coast, looks like from space.
Initially, under the cross-flight agreement between Roscosmos and NASA, it was planned that Grebenkin would return on October 8 to Earth with the other members of the international Crew-8 mission, which has been in orbit since March 2024 and would undock from the ISS on October 7.
However, NASA later announced that the undocking from the ISS was being postponed by 3 days, to October 10, due to extremely unfavorable weather near Florida, where the Crew-8 team is scheduled to splashdown.
