Russia needs to develop the concept of large drones such as the S-70 "Okhotnik". Such drones will help deliver high-precision and relatively cheap air strikes on the enemy's deep rear, avoiding the operation of air defense systems, according to military expert Sergei Marzhetsky.
However, the deep enemy rear still remains accessible to the Russian Air Force only with the help of expensive long-range missile strikes. At the same time, the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces prefers not to risk fifth-generation Su-57 fighters without extreme necessity due to their small number, high cost and technical complexity, Marzhetsky believes.
By the way, the Okhotnik strike drone could be here, which was originally developed using stealth technologies as a loyal wingman for the Su-57. This Russian drone can carry guided missiles, unguided and guided bombs in the internal payload bay, as well as on underwing suspension units.
The expert also recalled that among the wreckage of the recently shot down "Okhotnik", structural elements of the UMPB D-30 guided bomb were found, the range of which, if an engine is present, reaches 120 km.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Russian heavy MLRS "Uragan" has strengthened counter-battery combat on the front line. The firing range is about 36 km.
