Russian Su-35S, MiG-31BM and Su-30SM2 fighters are capable of effectively countering the French Mirage-2000-5 on the battlefield. This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the weapon control systems of the Mirage-2000-5 and Mirage-2000-9 are adapted to the use of more advanced MICA-EM air combat missiles with active radar homing heads with the "fire-and-forget" mode, as well as MICA-IR with bispectral jam-resistant infrared homing heads.
Their effective range is 50 - 60 km, and the available overloads are up to 50 units, which is achieved due to the presence of gas-jet thrust vector control systems. Such parameters ensure the interception of air objects maneuvering with overloads up to 25G.
Also, these modifications of the Mirages are equipped with modern multi-mode airborne RDY and RDY-2 radars, capable of detecting air targets with an RCS of 3 sq. m at a distance of 130 - 140 km, which puts them on the same level as the Russian Su-27SM and Su-27SM3. Therefore, the most effective means of countering the Mirage-2000-5/9 fighters will still be the Su-35S, MiG-31BM, and Su-30SM2 multi-role fighters, equipped with R-37M, RVV-SD, and R-27ER air combat missiles.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec had delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 with Nakidka protection kits to the troops. Additional protection includes products for strengthening armor and lattice screens.
