After state tests, the small missile ship will be transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense

The small missile ship (MRK) "Rzhev" (project 22800 "Karakurt") left the water area of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, which is part of the USC, and headed for Vladivostok. This was reported in the press service of the corporation.

The delivery base is located in Vladivostok. Sea and state tests will be carried out there, after which the ship will be transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the USC press service, large-sized equipment, systems and weapons complexes were installed on the MRK "Rzhev". All work was completed in accordance with the schedule.

About project 22800 "Karakurt"

Since 2019, a series of 4 MRKs have been built by specialists of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. The project developer is the Central Marine Design Bureau "Almaz". It is expected that the ships will join the Pacific Fleet.

MRKs of this project belong to third-rank ships. They are designed to conduct combat operations in the near sea zone. The armament of the ships includes complexes of strike and anti-aircraft weapons, as well as "Caliber" missiles.
