RM Rail has received a certificate for the autonomous refrigerated wagon model 16-1247. It is designed for transporting food products that require a specific temperature regime.
The new refrigerated wagon is designed to maintain temperatures in the cargo area from -20 °C to +15 °C. This allows for the transportation of a wide range of goods (piece goods, packaged goods, palletized goods, in boxes and on pallets).
In response to market demand, RM Rail is actively developing isothermal rolling stock. One of the promising models is the 16-1247 refrigerated wagon, which outperforms all existing competitors in terms of its characteristics.
Technical characteristics of the wagon:
- Load capacity — 60 tons (4 tons more than similar models).
- Body volume — 132 m³.
- Floor area — 47 m².
- Running gear — RM Rail bogie with an axle load of 25 t.
- Service life — 25 years.
The wagon body is insulated from external influences with a special thermal insulation material. The unique insulation scheme eliminates the appearance of "cold bridges." This ensures a stable temperature inside the cargo compartment. The plug-sliding doors are also insulated to prevent the loss of heat or cold during loading and unloading.
A refrigeration unit with a built-in remote temperature and humidity control system is installed in the end part of the body. This allows wagon owners and shippers to monitor transportation conditions in real time.
